The independent expert jury awards the prize to companies that have made a particularly impressive contribution to transformation in their respective industries, based on transparent jury rules, intensive research, publicly available information and the expertise of the jury.

Sappi and UPM propose new Joint Venture company for graphic paper business

Sappi Limited (“Sappi”) and UPM-Kymmene Corporation (“UPM”) have announced the signing of a non-binding letter of intent to form a non-listed, independent 50/50 Joint Venture for graphic paper. This Joint Venture will bring together Sappi’s European Graphic Paper business with UPM’s Communication Papers business in Europe, the UK and the US. The transaction will be subject to the fulfilment of a number of regulatory and other conditions, including shareholder approval.

Mondi advances transition to PE-free wrappers for cut-size paper across European mills

Mondi has completed the transition to polyethylene (PE)-free wrappers for its entire Mondi-branded cut-size paper portfolio produced at Mondi SCP in Ružomberok, Slovakia. The Neusiedler mill in Austria is scheduled to complete its transition to PE wrappers by 2026. AFP at Paris Photo

Three photographs by Eric Schwab from the AFP Collection are to be exhibited at Paris Photo, one of the world’s biggest international photography fairs, from November 13 to 16, 2025, at the Grand Palais. Eric Schwab’s three photographs, taken during the liberation of the Dachau and Buchenwald concentration camps in 1945, will be shown at the stand run by CLAIRbyKahn gallery. They will be exhibited alongside works by American photographer Roger Ballen, Israeli photographer Edward Kaprov, Japanese photographer Shigeishi Nagano, French photographer Yves Samuel, and Thomas Dworzak and Patrick Zachmann, from the Magnum Agency.
